About Lovenfosse
Lovenfosse, incorporated in 1989 by Martin Lovenfosse, aims to sell cut and uncut pork carcasses destined for the distribution sector, butchers, and the pork-processing artisanal sector.
In the beginning, the butchery activities took place in Verviers, to later relocate to Fléron in 1994. In 2011, we moved to the Aubel butchery, which better matched the development of our company.
From a small dozen of pigs in 1990, Lovenfosse grew to 2000 pigs in 2011. The company experienced a regular development and specialised itself in the deboning, cutting, and packaging of fresh meat. These activities represent 60% of our volume. The development of the profession and our 20 years of experience have enabled us to better estimate the current direction.
Our cutting hall currently has a capacity of 10,000 pigs per week. Our butchery allows us to slaughter 15,000 pigs per week, and the pre-packaging department can process around 75 tonnes per week.
Westvlees adopted our philosophy in 2011. That is when we decided to face the future together based on a solid foundation.
Lovenfosse has been part of Belgian Pork Group since September 2015. Our goal is to be present throughout Wallonia with a range of products that meet the demand of this market in terms of service and quality.
